Lovely town 25 mins by train from Gare du Nord in Paris.
Lovely town 25 mins by train from Gare du Nord in Paris. We arrived there quicker than we could have reached most places within Paris and were rewarded with historic buildings, clean streets, plenty of restaurants and miles of forest and riverside walking and cycling. If you're a fan of France but not keen on Paris, Chantilly is a perfect short break.

A real-life town in an attractive part of (semi-rural) France, benefitting from a good range of shops, a (small) market, a significant variety of restaurants and cafes (to suit all tastes and budgets), friendly people - just a very nice place to visit.
Hopped on the bus to Senlis, the old walled town, and lunched there. Well worth the visit and the bus ride (but check the timetable and the bus stops carefully.....better, ask!!)
Bearing in mind that our trip was in late-January (when most attractions were partly or fully closed), we still managed to enjoy ourselves thoroughly.

You'd need at least a few days to see everything and to rest and enjoy the area. There are no taxis from the train station, and finding an Uber was not easy, take that into account. Getting around is better by car or bike, walking is quite long. The castle was nice and so was the horse museum. Do not miss the Pavillon de Manse - kids loved it!

We loved the area, very natural with the most amazing chateaux right in the middle. We took a day in Paris, and the train journey was about 25 minutes. (saved all the fuss of driving in and then finding a car park.) Plenty of places tpo eat.
The drive from Calais was stress free all the way.
We will definately go back.

Charming, sophisticated town to explore the chateau and indulge in the posh patisseries. Limited budget food choices in restaurants if you are avoiding meat as more emphasis on beef and pork. Good range of supermarkets if you are self-catering with lovely produce to buy
The elegance of the whole facility - lovely room, breakfast room and service was that of a fine restaurant, all we wanted to eat/drink - home-made yogurt and muffins, fresh-squeezed OJ, fresh that morning croissants and baguettes, large array of fresh-cut fruits. Beautiful compound with lovely walking spaces. We really appreciated the adorable cute puppy and the friendly cat. Vincent was very helpful and informative. within walking distance of the chateau. Good in-town restaurant suggestions. Will go back here whenever possible!
The room was absolutely beautiful with a large walk in shower and separate toilet. The patio doors opened on to a small terrace next to the car park. Although that doesn’t sound good, the car park was small and the aspect from the terrace was really pleasant.
We like to have sufficient light in hotel rooms and this was well lit and really comfortable.
We did not take breakfast at the hotel, so cannot comment. Overall a really pleasant stay and the town of Chantilly is truly lovely.
The hotel is in a beautiful location with streams and greenery all around. The building and layout of the hotel is good and it has almost everything you could need within the complex. The bar is lovely and the live music a great addition. The choice of restaurants was good. The spa facilities were excellent. The hotel room we had was clean, the bathroom a good size and the bed very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.
Ideally situated on the edge of Chantilly, la Ferme de la Canardiere is a wonderful and tranquil place to stay with a comfortable room and outside heated pool. Our hosts were charming and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Our breakfast was exceptional with most of it homemade and from the garden.
Very good location, quiet place, near the main street with lots of restaurant and stores around - supermarkets, pharmacy etc.
The Château de Chantilly is 10 minutes walk from the apartment, very nice place.
Facility is very good, strong WIFI, always had hot water, TV, fridge, espresso machine and more.
Location is great and central, close to the train station and to the Chantilly castle
Staff is very friendly and available
The hotel is comfortable with a peaceful charming common space (lobby, garden) and a tasty restaurant (where breakfast is served and for dinner)
Very quiet!
Amazing apartment in the center of Chantilly, 10 mins walk from the chateau. The apartment had a nice kitchen big TV and very cozy and beautiful bedroom. The owner was very sweet and friendly. I would definitely stay here again. Merci beaucoup
Very comfortable stay. Everything you need to cook a meal, comfortable bed, great shower, spacious living room, warm home. Location is good: close to train station, close to city center, got elevator, not long walk to castle.
The rooms were to expensive for the facilities. Other hotels near by ( ex. in la chapelle en serval the Mont Royal ) offer a better value for money rate. We also were not so enthousiast about the restaurant.
The flat is located in a peaceful area of Chantilly, it is well set up and common area is quite spacious.
Hélène's indications are very detailed which made check in very easy.
A super location food was amazing and such good value for money. Highly recommend this hotel only 30 mins to Paris. The chateau is a must and only 15 mins from the hotel.
The rooms are modern and well equipped, the grounds are beautiful. The Spa is excellent. The hotel is overall modern and nicely designed. The breakfast was excellent.
